Description: FIREDIST displays Fire Taxation Districts in Pima County.
Known Errors/Qualifications: Fire taxation districts do not necessarily coincide with fire service areas, e.g. areas that are serviced by the Rural/Metro Corporation are not included in this layer. The City of Tucson does not have a separate fire taxation district and is not included. This layer does not include tribal fire districts. District boundaries may not be exact. Non-taxed Federal, State, or Pima County owned properties are excluded from the following fire district boundaries: Sonoita Elgin, Arivaca,and Helmet Peak. This layer is not get updated until Assesor's data gets updated with the annexation information.
Lineage: Updated with linework provided by David Lewis on 11-8-07. New features were traced or appended to the previous layer. Boundaries for the Avra Valley Fire District were obtained from Pinal County GIS.

Known Errors/Qualifications: This layer was screen digitized on the street centerline base. Only generally rectified to parcel base. Boundaries overlap parcels in some areas.
